The Nottingham Ford RS Owners Club will bring an impressive selection of performance Fords to Newark Showground for the Ford & Scooter Classic Day on Sunday, August 9.
Ford enthusiasts have another big reason to visit the ’Normous Newark Autojumble this August, with the Nottingham Ford RS Owners Club confirming that it will attend the event with a varied display of celebrated RS machinery.
The club is preparing to bring an impressive selection of cars spanning several generations of Ford’s performance history, including a Mk2 Escort RS2000, Escort RS Turbo Series 2, Escort RS1600i, Mk6 Escort RS2000 and Escort RS Cosworth.
Visitors can also expect to see a Sapphire Cosworth alongside Mk2 and Mk3 Focus models, creating a display that charts the development of Ford’s sporting road cars across several decades.
From the instantly recognisable shape of the rear-wheel-drive Mk2 Escort RS2000 to the turbocharged performance of the Escort Cosworth and later Focus generations, the club’s display should provide plenty of interest for both dedicated Ford followers and general classic-vehicle enthusiasts.
Fords and scooters take centre stage
The Nottingham group’s attendance adds another major attraction to the special Ford & Scooter Classic Day being held as part of the ’Normous Newark Autojumble on Sunday, August 9, 2026.
Owners of classic, retro and interesting Ford models are invited to bring their vehicles along and become part of the day’s displays, while the scooter element will add another distinctive strand to the event.
It’s worth noting that owners of eligible classic vehicles will have even more reason to come along. Drivers of Ford cars over 20 years old and riders of scooters over 15 years old will get into the event free of charge.
Classic scooters have developed an enthusiastic following of their own, with machines associated with generations of British scooter culture, commuting and customisation. The scooter display will give visitors the chance to enjoy an assortment of well-preserved, restored and personalised machines alongside the classic cars, motorcycles and trade stalls traditionally found at Newark.

Away from the special displays, visitors will still be able to enjoy everything normally associated with the ’Normous Newark Autojumble.
Newark Showground will be filled with hundreds of indoor and outdoor trade plots offering parts, tools, accessories, restoration services, memorabilia and motoring-related products.
Whether searching for an elusive component, materials for a restoration project, workshop equipment or simply an unexpected bargain, the event regularly attracts buyers and traders from across the country.
A classic car and motorcycle display area will also form part of the day, giving enthusiasts even more machinery to explore between visits to the autojumble stalls.
With the Nottingham Ford RS Owners Club now confirmed and classic scooters joining the established mix of cars, motorcycles, traders and autojumble finds, the August event is shaping up to be one of the most varied ’Normous Newark gatherings of the year.
