Newark Winners Announced

As proceedings draw to a close on the first day of the Carole Nash Classic Bike Guide Winter Classic at Newark Showground, the organising team has announced the winners of the event’s awards.

Top honour of Best in Show has gone to Andy Baldwin and his 1969 Suzuki T200 (pictured) which is on display on the Vintage Japanese Motorcycle Club stand.

James Robinson, classic motorcycle magazine editor and part of the judging panel, said: “There are some stunning examples here at Newark across a variety of makes, models and eras.

“Choosing winners was difficult and narrowing that down to one Best in Show machine was even more so but we feel that we’ve picked a very worthy champion.”

There is also glory for the UK 2 Stroke Club which picks up the title of Best Club Stand.

The various awards, trophies, prizes and rosettes will be presented on the show’s second day – Sunday, January 4 – by its special guest of honour John Reynolds.
