PRESS TRIAL , CADWELL PARK , MARCH 5TH 2008
THANK YOU EVERYONE WHO TOOK PART
Cadwell Park was the venue for a recent charity event organized by staff from Mortons of Horncastle Ltd. Raising money for the TT Riders Association and B E N, the 2008 Press Trial was held amongst the beautiful woodland setting courtesy of Motorsport Vision. The entry list included some very skillful riders drawn from as far away as Surrey and included a strong contingent from Yorkshire and the East Midlands as well as local riders. Competitors riding trials bikes manufactured by famous marques such as Douglas, Triumph, James, BSA and Ariel enjoyed the challenging course which had been laid out by Errol Gowshall of the Poachers Pre 65 club .Following a buffet lunch and a raffle for motorcycling literature and associated articles there was a presentation of awards.
Amongst the winners was local rider Dave Frith from Belchford who won the Peter Arnold Memorial Trophy.
The total raised at the Press Trial held at Cadwell Park on Wednesday was £1,769.26, over £440 more than last year. A big thank you to everyone who helped make the Trials successful and in particular to Nigel Clark, who ran an auction after the event.
All proceeds will be donated to TTRA and BEN.
