Birchall brothers to headline the Winter Classic

Former world sidecar champions the Birchall brothers are set to kick-start the new motorcycling season at the Carole Nash Classic Bike Guide Winter Classic show in January.

The season opener will welcome Ben and Tom as it returns to Newark Showground on January 7-8 2017.

Joining compere Steve Plater on stage for interviews, the duo will cover a range of subjects including their many accomplishments – being former world sidecar champions, four-time TT race winners and the current sidecar TT lap record holders. They will also be available for signing autographs and presenting awards.

The event will offer enthusiasts the chance to explore the hundreds of classic bikes on display and, hosting a number of traders and dealers, the show will be the perfect place to grab some parts and spares to complete any restoration projects.

Visitors will also be encouraged to start a new restoration, or hopefully inspired to finish off any current work being carried out ready for the year ahead.

And the Winter Classic won’t just be celebrating classic motorcycles, but also scooters as the popular Scooter World hall will be making a very welcome return. Triple British scooter champion Stuart Day will be about at the event, along with local scooter clubs, private entries and traders.

Event planner Nick Mowbray said: “It’s going to be bigger and better than ever before. I look forward to meeting all of the gusts and especially the Birchall brothers. I can’t wait for the 2017 season to get started.”

Discounted advance tickets are now on sale for the show, with a one-day adult pass costing just £8. Get more information on the EVENT PAGE.
